River Rat...

I hadn't been tubing down the river since I used to go with my dad in the summers in Arizona. It was definately time. So Saturday morning, Eldon, Wesley and I went over and rousted Geoff out of bed to go. He tried to get out of it, but we managed to get him to go.

Eldon has tubing down to a science. Drop one car at the end, and one car at the beginning, so we don't have to walk several miles back all sun baked and tired. We blew up our tubes and trudged down to the water.

It was 94 degrees, so just perfect, and Wes couldn't wait to get in the water. He ran out and immediately started swimming, while we were still getting our sunscreen on and getting organized in the water.

There was much floating and fun.

We took a small break for refreshments....

and while attempting to get back in the water, Geoff slipped and fell on his ass!

Was a fun trip!

Wesley swam for most of the trip, but toward the end he was really huffing and puffing, so I put him in the raft we brought for him.. and the beer.

He played hunting dog off the front of his raft, pointing his way down the river.

However... Geoff learned the perils of spray on sunscreen.. I honestly don't know how this happened. Eldon and I both used the same sunscreen, but for some reason Geoff was the only one to recieve crop circle tan lines as a resut of the spray on sunscreen!?

Crop circles, hilarious! I had a friend go skiing once with a similar result on his forehead.

But Glass bottles in the river? Bad dog!

We couldn't find plastic ones. We didn't break anything and we took all our trash with us when we left. :P

Boy, oh boy. If there was ever proof that I need to work out, that was it.

Looks like there weren't nearly as many other people in the water as there were a couple of weeks ago. Must have been nice!
