Bite of Oregon

Saturday after work, Geoff and Aaron picked me up and we went to go get Jason. The 4 of us had decided to check out the Bite of Oregon. Jason wasn't quite ready when Geoff and Aaron came to get me, and Geoff said he was kinda tired and needed an energy drink, but hated the taste of Red Bull. So, I introduced him to RockStar Juiced. The energy drink that doesn't taste like total shit! That's not their slogan..by the way.
While we were at the convenience store, I realized that my pants were not only unzipped, but the zipper was stuck down in the little crevase in the fold of jeans. That place where only a precise object, like tweezers will return it from.

Aaron: "I'll get it out... with my TEETH!"

me: "Really? I'd like to see you try."

Aaron: "You should know better than to make jokes like that with me."

me: "Who said I was joking?"

And immediately, he dropped to his knees and went to work trying to get my zipper unstuck with his teeth. Geoff took the opportunity to take pictures. (We won't mention that I handed him the camera!)

After some working at it, he did eventually get my zipper unstuck. I didn't mind the wait! :P

Staci and her friends (whom I met on Fat Tuesday) were also having a little "last hurrah" before Staci goes off to college in Arizona. OF COURSE, this outing had to be at the Bite, because Intervision 5 was playing. We like to affectionately call them "the groupie crew" not with negative connotations, but because they never miss a show.

We paid the admission, and to our dismay, the food and drinks ALSO costed, although I was able to get steak bites and mushrooms AND a slab of pork with barbecue sauce for a mere $8 total.

Jason was a big fan of the mushrooms.

Aaron liked the pork slab the best.

I think Geoff was either finding the "groupie crew" at this point, or looking for a beer.

We watched the I5 show, and socialized for a bit.

and just for Jason.. I give you.. "Plaid Pants!"

Aaron discovered berry smoothies, while I discovered the champagne. We found that combining our efforts made a fantastic drink. So of course we ended up having 3 of them.

The girls making the berry smoothies would cheer and dance when you tipped them. So we had to. It was just too fun to watch.

On one of our trips back from the smoothie tent, we discovered the Melting Pot tent. Strawberries and chocolate?.. 'nuff said.

When the show was over, we said our goodbyes to Staci and the crew.

Noteable quoteables:
"Plaid Pants!!!"
"That was also sexual."
"Lady shoulders."

And it wouldn't be an outing with Jason if we didn't hear him ask us to go to The Pearl. So, to the Eastern Pearl we went. Jason practically lives at this bar. He's like Norm from Cheers there. Literally everyone in the bar knows him by name and greets him when he walks in. Which fits, because the bar is , as he puts it, within "stumbling distance" of home.

We played a couple games of pool and had a drink, but the most noteable of things was acosting people with the pool chalk.

I was not exempt.

We left Jason to his own devices there and Aaron and Geoff dropped me off.

It was a very fun night. I laughed a lot.
