Worth the hike....
Monday Eldon and I decided we needed to go see some waterfalls.
We went to Silver Falls State Park. Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed on the trails, so Wes had to stay behind. The park boasts 10 waterfalls in a 7 mile radius, and it's definately worth going.
Because it was summer, the falls weren't nearly as exciting as they were in the pictures, so we have vowed to go back in winter or spring to see them in all their glory, but even without them being at full capacity, they were still gorgeous.
We were able to go underneath it.
As usual with us, there was much goofing off.
The second was Lower South Falls...
another pretty falls we could go under.
only after walking down this though...
We passed by this one...
(You could go down to it, but it wasn't exactly ON the trail, so we passed it up.)
Then we went to Double Falls. It doesn't seem that impressive now, but it surely is in the winter months. We went down to it and it was getting warm, so I decided to get a bit wet.
Then it was Eldon's turn to catch some spray at the next falls.
We decided to go off the path and get closer to this one... it was decidedly our favorite of the falls on the trip.
and that this area has some REALLY big old trees.
and one of my favorite pics..
the obligitory kissing in front of a landmark.

Too bad the doggies couldn’t come.
What a coincidence, I just wrote a post about hiking. But the scenery looks a little different in my pictures.
