Say Hello to my little friend...

So Sunday after work I took home my new puppy. I was a little skeptical that Wesley wouldn't like her, so I brought all of her stuff in first, and then walked Wesley out to the car to get her out. He was interested, but not obnoxious, and she was super friendly to him. I monitored their interactions over the evening and the next day. I don't forsee any problems with them getting along, and she seems to be a completely different dog than what Natalie made her out to be. Perhaps she just wasn't comfortable in the home she was in, cuz she seems perfectly happy here with me and Wes.

My next concern was how Eldon was going to feel about her. After spending some time with her, this is what he said to her... "I was totally prepared not to like you, cuz I don't like little dogs, but you're so horribly cute!"


We spent the evening trying to figure out what to call her. In the end, she named herself. Because she has all this white hair on her head only, I suggested the name Rikka (Ree-kah) which although spelled differently, was the name of Patsy Kensit's platinum blonde character in Lethal Weapon 2. As soon as I said the name, the puppy looked directly at me and ran toward me excited. I said it again, and got eye contact. So Rikka is her name-o.
