Smelly Dogs are No thanks!
Today I gave Wesley a bath.
Ok, maybe not like this.
I actually took him to a really neat shop called Doggie Delight in Beaverton. They're a boutique with lots of neat foods, fresh baked desserts for dogs, and a self service dog wash. It's a cool set up. They have grooming style elevated bathtubs with perfectly adjusted water temperature, a variety of shampoos, including a tearless one just for use on the face. They also provide you with the tools and solutions necessary to clip their nails, clean their ears and blow dry them after the wash, as well as an array of doggie colognes to ensure they smell good afterward.
Although Wesley didn't seem to mind the whole bathing and blow dry part, and even tolerated the ear cleaning and nail clipping (usually his most UNfavorite parts of grooming) the thing that seemed to upset him the most was when I brushed him with a slicker brush. Guess I'll have to stick to the zoom groom. Other than that, my day was pretty uneventful.
