Bathtime and a new houseguest...
Wesley's not a dirty dog, he's actually fairly clean, but if he doesn't get his monthy bath, he really starts to get a smell to him. Not that nasty, dirty dog smell, but just a little stink to him. I like Doggy Delight's baths better, but the setup of City Dog Wash does make it easier to wash him because you can move around to either side of him. At Doggy Delight, their baths are against the wall, so I have to keep making him turn around instead of just moving to the other side of the tub. Same price for either place, so I guess I'll just go to whichever is more convenient. One is close to school, one is close to home.
I went to work, and I had arranged to watch one of my students, this adorable Golden Retriever puppy named Gabby, while her mom goes in for some surgery. She said that it was an outpatient thing, and she would be home, but after surgery and being drugged up, she didn't think she could take after a 5 month old puppy. She's in my 7:30 intermediate class, so I just collected her items, food, bowls, crate, etc outside after work and took her home.
Gabby's a sweet dog, so I had no problem watching her. She does have some issues though. She's very hyper, as to be expected with a puppy, but she's still working on the not jumping on people thing. She also likes to counter-surf, which doesn't fly in my house.
I went to put her crate together, realizing that her mom forgot to give me one of the pieces to it, so I ended up driving out to Eldon's house to pick up Wesley's crate for her. I'm exhausted already!
