Gabby in the house!
So I've spent two days with this pup now. I've discovered some of her little quirks, but all in all, she's a great little dog. She likes the bathtub. After I got out of the shower, she jumped in!
I had agreed to meet my mom for lunch on Tuesday, but told her we had to eat someplace outside so I could take Gabby. We ended up getting some mexican food from Pepper's, and walking down to Esther Short Park to eat. My mom isn't a fan of big dogs, so I like exposing my mom to as many as I can. I'm evil like that! She had no problem with Gabby though, as Gabby is just a puppy. I discovered that Gabby likes to beg for food! So, I'm teaching her that no matter how obnoxious she is, she's not getting any people food.
She's fun though. She's got that puppy exhuberance where she will chase a blowing leaf. She's just really cute.
Her and Wesley are getting along great. It's good for him to have other dogs come in and out of his life like this. He gets to play with them, it teaches him to share, and yet they don't stay long enough for him to feel like they're imposing on his territory.
I took them both to the dog park today for a couple hours. Gabby made friends with everyone, dog and human alike. Wesley did his normal walk around and mark everything, but he always has a good time. He has been more active in showing interest in the other dogs though.
Gabby also LOVES water. She drinks so much of it, I'm surprised she doesn't pee 24-7. She spent about the same amount of time practically laying IN the water bowl, as she did playing with the other dogs.
Water + Dirt = mud. So Gabby got really dirty. She had a blast though. Look at that happy dirty dog!
