Memories...
After work, I took Gabby home to her mom. Tonya was still a little dizzy from her pain meds, but she really missed her puppy. Honestly, she was fun to have over, but I'm really glad to have the peace in my house. I forget just how chill my dog is until after the crazyness of houseguest puppies.
This was the first Saturday night I've had off in a while without plans. I actually didn't know what to do with myself. I called up Amy and we went to see "Stick It." It's a rehashing of "Bring It On" by the same writer, with gymnastics in place of cheerleading. I know, a total tween flick wtf was I thinking? But I did gymnastics for 6 years. I actually remember doing some of those moves, although I was never THAT good. (I didn't have a stunt double, nor did I have an incredibly ripped body like those chicks.. but it does explain my short stature and lack of boobage!)
The tricks were cool, and brought back some really cool memories, and some painful ones. Tween and teen girls will love it, though. And regardless of age (or gender), it does make you want to put down the Junior Mints and head to the gym. I've lost about 6 lbs in the last month, and I felt like a total fat ass watching this movie. It was a fun for a mindless "I don't want to think about anything going on in my own life" thing to do for the evening, and Amy and I enjoyed it, even laughed at a few parts.
Then she loaned me Cesar's Way. I'm not much of a reader, but I will actually commit to sitting down and reading this book... Cesar has my dream job, and he's just so cool. I loved him even more when I looked at the cover of the book. Way to go Cesar! Nice choice of dogs on the cover!!!!!
