Hear that? It's Polka!
Friday night I went over to Justin's for a Scary Movie party. The thing about it was, neither of the movies were scary, they were actually so bad that they were hillarious. We watched Slither, and I honestly don't know how that movie ever made it to the theatres. It felt like it should have been a "direct to video" release. It's always a ton of fun to watch horror movies with a group of friends that are just as sick and twisted as you are, so you can laugh hysterically at the incredibly disgusting ways that the people are killed.
Saturday was a lot of fun, although I woke up with a horrible hangover, because I forgot to mention that there was a lot of drinking going on the night before, which added more humor to the horror movies.
We had planned to go to Oktoberfest in Mt. Angel. Mt. Angel is a little town about 45 minutes drive away, but the town even when it's NOT Oktoberfest looks like a little slice of Bavaria. Polka music, chicken dancing, and lots of lederhosen ensued.
Geoff, Ruban and I all walked around enjoying the festivities. We were a little disappointed though, being that it was Oktoberfest, and all they had for a beer selection was Budweiser, a couple offerings of Widmere and a Spaten. Ruban and Geoff did managed to find something they could tolerate though.
The sausages. Yummy!
We headed back in a bit of a time crunch, but still managed to capture a few clever random signs.
