Friday night I had another class graduate. It was Pete, probably the calmest Jack Russel I've ever met, Jake the hyperactive Chocolate Lab, and Marley the German Shorthair/Australian Cattle dog mix. I don't ask for anything of my students other than a photo from home to add to an album that I leave out for everyone to look at. Pete's family gave me a card, with a photo of Pete and a wonderful surprise... Inside the card was a $25 gift certificate for Target! They were so grateful for everything they learned, I nearly cried.. How sweet! Jake's dad also gave me a really nice picture of him, and Marley's family took the picture thing one step further....
The background is photoshopped, but the lips are not. My store has literally everything you can think of for dogs. The lips are a chew toy that you get as much amusement out of as the dog. When they handed it to me I laughed hysterically and showed it to everyone I work with. I felt I needed to show it off some more.
After work, Eldon and I were going to go see a movie at Cinetopia, but he got a flat and had to fix it so it ended up being too late to get dinner. Instead we went to see Legend of Zorro at a theatre near my house. It was a lot longer than I expected it to be, but it was still pretty good. Some of it was cheezy, but it was fun.
