Paint Sniffer

About a week ago my mom called me and asked me if I would paint the inside of her house. I told her I didn't have much free time, so she bribed me. So today I spent my day off painting one of the rooms. I forgot how much work painting a house is. The biggest pain was the fact that she didn't have any masking tape. They did have some "carpet tape" which worked, but that stuff is amazingly hard to cut, so after masking the floorboards I had the hardest time cutting off the pieces!

My mom is afraid of big dogs, so unfortunately I couldn't bring Wesley, but I brought Rikka over to play with her little Pomeranians, Mooshka and Mindy. Her dogs are 8 years old, so Rikka ran circles around them, but they still had fun. Fortunately they were all smart enough to stay out of the paint.

My mom also made dinner. This always scares me to eat over at her place, because I am a carnivore, and she is a vegetarian.... I'm sorry I don't believe in eating FAKE meat. If you don't want to eat meat, fine, but don't eat stuff that is supposed to look and taste like meat. Fortunately, she made some burritos that were pretty decent. The fake meat stuff she used, (I didn't ask what it was and I don't want to know) was masked by the beans, lettuce, cheese, salsa and tomatos.

Then I had to go to a meeting at work. Thankfully it wasn't as long as it was supposed to be and I like most of the people I work with so it wasn't so bad. Since I went straight from my mom's, everyone took turns passing around Rikka in their laps and petting her during the meeting. She was quite spoiled today.
