Time isn't on my side....

I have been so incredibly busy I don't even know where to begin.

I started school on Monday. I am taking 10 credits. Two online courses and a Biology course at the campus, which includes a lab. I also have three jobs. I work at the vet clinic, still work at the store training dogs (for a few more weeks at least) and I dog sit.
So this is what I have going on...

Sunday: I work 9 hours with an hour commute each way.

Monday: I have an hour commute, 2 hours of school and 9 hours of work, followed by another hour commute home.

Tuesday: I work 9 hours with an hour commute each way.

Wednesday: I have an hour commute, 6 consecutive hours of Biology class, another hour commute home, and an hour of work training dogs.

Thursday: 1 hour commute, 6 hours of work, 1 hour commute, and another hour of work training dogs.

Friday: I only work for an hour training dogs, and then spend the entire day doing all the homework I have due for the next week, and then spend some time with my dog and the dog that I'm babysitting.

Saturday: I work for an hour training dogs, and then again finish any homework, work with my dog and the babysitting dog.

Rinse, repeat.

It may sound like I'm complaining, but I'm really not. I know it will be worth it in the end.. it's just the first week or so that's going to kill me until I get into a rythm.

Somehow I managed to go out and have a little fun in between all of this though.

There was the Son of Rust show at Berbati's. I actually missed SoR play, because of work, but I managed to get there in time to hang out with everyone for a bit. Somehow Arm Wrestling came into play again... I really don't know why. Everyone got in on it.. even me several times.

Then there was the Russian Food party. Jesse and Ildiko just got back from Russia not that long ago, and they brought back some samplings of food and drink from there.

There was an incredibly good, sweet, very alcoholic red wine,
Gin and Tonic in a Can! Apparently you can get one on the street as if it were soda, right out of the machine!
Silly Russian hats...
and a sampling of the wierdest potato chips I've ever seen..
The flavors:
chicken (tasted like dog treats),sausage, caviar, pickle and bacon.
Obviously Eldon was quite fond of the bacon flavored ones.
There was much drinking, and therefore I can't describe the other pictures that were taken, so I'm going to leave them out! It was good times though.

Moving sucks...

But it sucks a whole lot less when you have really awesome friends.

Geoff volunteered his manliness and his stationwagon to help me not once, but twice, in relocating my crap from one place to another. A big thanks to Geoff.. You ROCK dude!

What's even cooler than that is that I didn't have to rent a truck afterall.

That was a huge concern for me, because I have absolutely NO money right now. My new job only pays once a month... something I was completely unaware of and unprepared for when I took the job. Warren got a friend of his to lend him his truck for the morning, and because Warren is the only person I know who is busier AND has more jobs than me, he was on a tight time schedule. As such, the only time he could do the move, was exactly the time I was going to be at work. So him and Eldon went over to my place, and grabbed all the big stuff that required a truck (bed, futon, desk, etc..) and moved it over to my new place while I was at work! How fucking cool is that?? Warren, you saved my ass, and you rock. I owe you big time!

And of course, Eldon my dear... You should know the depths of my gratitude, but just in case you don't.. you rock my socks off.. (amongst other things!) Thank you for not only putting up with me, but thanks again for your help with literally everything. Having you in my life makes this one of the best, most fun years I've ever had.

Moving also had it's issues, like cramming the last bits of stuff into Geoff's station wagon, forgetting that we needed to save room for Wesley. We managed to fit him in, but around those tight corners everything sorta shifted, making it a not so comfortable ride for the big guy. As you can see, I had so much concern for him, that amidst my laughter, I took a picture.

It's taken me a few days to get used to the new place, living with someone else, and two more dogs.. but I'm really liking it. I've come home to have Amy tell me she already took Wesley out and fed him, which is always helpful when you work a long day. It's also nice just to have someone to talk to when you get home. That's something I missed the last year I lived alone. And having three dogs... well, it sure makes the house lively! Although Paris and Cesar need some work in the manners department, they're fun, and there's never a dull moment. I've already started whipping the two into shape (metaphorically speaking) by taking them for walks and not putting up with their jumping and counter surfing. All in all, it's been an busy week, though not much blogworthy.

Happy Birthday Wesley!!

My super terrific wonderful doggy turned 3 today!

I can't believe I've had him for nearly 3 years now. I got him for my birthday when he was 7 weeks old, and I seriously think that sometimes if it weren't for this dog, I would not have made it through the last 3 years. He truely is the best friend anyone can have. They say diamonds are a girl's best friend, but I don't even own any diamonds, and even if I did, they couldn't possibly have done for me what having Wesley around has done for me. He's made me a better person, just by being himself.

Here's to you, buddy!
Just a pup!!!
As "Krypto the Superdog" at 2004 Free Comic Book Day, Albany, NY.

As "Ace the Bat hound" at 2005 Free Comic Book Day, Albany, NY.

I have an 18x24 picture of this on my wall.
He was about a year old when I took this picture.

I love this picture so much, it's on my business cards.

He's definately a character! But he made my job easier.

What's not to love about this guy?

Ok, he's had his moments....

People love him....

and animals love him too!

He's got more friends than I do.

So Happy Birthday, Wesley "As You Wish".
You're the best friend money could have ever bought!
(and you paid for yourself lifetimes over.)

Dive bars can be fun...

With the right people!

Saturday after I got off work, Geoff came up to my place and we stuffed his station wagon with as much of my crap as possible to do the pre-emptive move to Amy's. I still don't have a truck to move my bed, futon, desk etc, but at least I got a large majority of my crap relocated so if I do find a truck it will likely only be one or two trips maximum.

Then we went over to Eldon's. The original plan was to go to the Rocky Horror Picture Show with a bunch of people, but it didn't pan out. So, after sharing a sausage with a couple of friends....

Plan B ensued. Geoff's cousin Jason and a few other folks were hanging out at a bar called the Eastern Pearl.

When we arrived, Jason announced that when he chooses music, he likes to start things off with a little ABBA. So Geoff and Jason sang a rendition of "Dancing Queen" to get things going. This was before any alcohol.. at least for me, Geoff or Eldon. Jason was a few in already methinks!

This was pretty much the reaction they got from us, and anyone else in the bar that was watching!

There was plenty of ludeness, much more as the night went on, but this was just a small taste of what we captured.

Fun with Chalk.....

Fun with Pool Balls volume 1:

Volume 2:
Volume 3:

Erin arrived, and there was much rejoycing!

Then there was arm wrestling...
I'm not sure why....

Whenever the bar offers Jello shots.. they simply must be consumed.

Then it was time to perfect the art of "fry sharing"....

Let us not forget those pictures that speak a thousand words...
Those, "you had to be there" moments.

A very fun night. Not so much a very fun hangover the next morning, but a fun night nonetheless. :)
