On a happier note...

Right after the puppy died, I needed to do something happy.

Thankfully, I had two things to do that day that were just that.

Wednesday afternoon is the dog training class for the school dogs. As Captain Jack is assigned to me, I made sure to be there. We were doing leash walking, and while my partner for caring for Jack was working with him, I taught one of the other girls the best way to get Toby to respond to walk nicely on leash.



The goal is to teach the dogs some manners, but it's also to have them be social, so there was a lot of just messing around and being silly as well.


When class was over, I met up with Geoff, Ruban, Josh, Eldon and Justin for our bi-weekly "Meat" outing at Stars.

That is always fun and was definately helpful to take my mind off beating myself up over the pup. All of them made sure to tell me it wasn't my fault. Thanks guys, I needed that. :)

It also seems that I got the seal of approval from Wes on my new friend Josh. That means he can stay. :P
